Course Overview

The ATHE Business Management Diploma Level 6 qualification covers key areas of management such as Leadership and Research with a wide range of optional units in areas such as Finance, HR, Marketing and Personal Development. It also provides entry to an MBA at a range of universities in the UK and overseas. 

It is a 60-credit qualification and is the equivalent size and level to the third year of a bachelor’s degree.

Progression

On successful completion of this qualification, there are a number of progression opportunities.

Students can progress to:

  • You can progress to an ATHE Level 7 qualification or an MBA from the ATHE Level 6 Extended Diploma in Management.

Entry requirement for the Business Management Diploma Level 6 qualification

These qualifications provide a flexible route for learners who have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level as well as for learners who do not have business or management qualifications, but may have qualifications in other areas and/or prior management experience in the workplace.

For students who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include one of following:

  • Age: 19 +
  • One or two years’ study of business, management or related qualifications at a Higher Education Institution
  • A level 5 qualification in business, management or related subjects, for example, an ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Management
  • Other equivalent international qualifications

List of documents required for registration:

  • Completed application form
  • Authenticated scans of your qualifications, certificates and complete transcripts for all years of studies
  • A copy of your passport
  • A copy of your CV/résumé
  • A scanned copy of a recent passport-sized color photograph
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Proof of address
  • Two references

Assessment

There is no external assessment (i.e. exams) attached to any unit. You will be required to submit a final written assignment for each module.

The Business Management Diploma Level 6 Syllabus

To achieve the Business Management Diploma Level 6 qualification all learners must complete two of the four core units totaling 30 credits. Learners then select the unendorsed (general) route or one of four pathways; Finance, Managing People, Operations Management or Sales and Marketing.
